Big Bend National Park is under attack. Bulldozers are destroying the beautiful landscape in the name of building a border wall.
This design started with a photo I took in June of 2021, during my first trip to West Texas. I used a Linocut filter to transform the image, then added the Texas cutout and the “KEEP BIG BEND BEAUTIFUL” text in a font with a similar effect to the top. This image captures only a feaction of the beauty of Big Bend and the impact it had on me.
I recently met Aixa Tovar, a documentary filmmaker, who is working on a film called West Texas: Beyond the Headlines. She is working to preserve and protect the landscape, the communities, and the history of the region. $10 of every shirt sold will benefit her work in producing this important film.
