Jane Doe’s story is one that is really resonating with people, particularly women, all over the world right now. Attempts to expose her identity have turned into a rallying call, with women claiming to be Jane Doe in an effort to both protect and support her. For many of them, they are also acknowledging that they were once in her shoes.
This design features a simple name tag that says “I am Jane Doe” on the front left chest, and, on the back, the words “Believe Survivors” with the National Sexual Assault Hotline phone number and SMS/Text number. The name tag and most of the text on the back are in a shade of red that is specific to Cornell, to recognize the university’s part in failing to protect the women on its campus.
$10 of every shirt sold will be donated to the organization RAINN, which operates the hotline and offers direct support to survivors of sexual assault.
